AUKOMA intelligent electric actuators adopt the world's top design and manufacturing concepts, non-invasive streamlined structure, fully digital integrated chips, torque sensor detection technology, magnetoelectric encoder stroke technology, Chinese and English dual-selection LCD display, infrared remote control and Bluetooth communication, bus communication network technology, etc. The control is more optimized than imported brands and is closer to the automation control requirements of the domestic market. It is the preferred brand for valve control in the fields of power, petrochemical, environmental protection, metallurgy, water treatment, etc.
2. AKML Linear Electric Actuator Specifications & Functions
2.1 Magnetoelectric absolute encoder technology and power-off valve position display technology
AUKOMA series uses an absolute encoder with independent intellectual property rights that can detect 4000 turns and a single-turn resolution of 4096 positions, and a total of 24 bits of absolute position travel detection. It adopts a uniquely designed low-power battery-powered circuit. After the main power supply is powered off, it uses battery power to continuously display valve position changes. The absolute encoder uses magnetoelectric technology and has the characteristics of simple structure, stable performance, long service life, high accuracy and high resolution. The battery is only used for valve position display after power failure. Even if the battery is dead, the valve position changes operated by the handwheel are still continuously tracked due to the use of absolute encoding technology, which greatly improves the stability of the system.
2.2 Torque pressure sensing detection technology
Adopting the internationally advanced torque pressure sensing detection technology commonly used in intelligent electric actuators, the dynamic real-time high-precision detection of the torque of AUKEMA electric actuators is realized. Torque pressure sensing detection technology is a technology that has been tested and verified by industrial practice. Regardless of any changes in frequency, voltage and temperature, accurate and repeatable torque measurement values can be obtained.
2.3 One-screen dual-display LCD technology
The LCD screen uses a customized LCD screen and one-screen dual-display technology. The upper half of the screen uses a low-power segment code LCD display to display the valve position and alarm symbols in real time; the lower half of the screen uses a graphic dot matrix LCD display to display operating information and parameter settings. The display language provides Chinese and English menus to choose from at any time, providing convenience for you to use around the world. One-screen dual-display technology solves the stability and reliability issues of the two screens and improves the reliability and availability of the entire machine.
2.4 Communication control and monitoring technology
Bluetooth communication remote control mode provides you with the convenience of remote control of the actuator by computer and mobile phone, and can perform local and remote analysis with the help of the provided intelligent remote control software.
2.5 Double seal and non-intrusive technology
IP68 protection level, completely waterproof and dustproof. "Double seal" ensures that internal components are protected. Double protection of the operating knob, an optional protective cover is added to the knob panel side, which provides convenience for protecting the knob for outdoor applications.
All debugging and parameter setting can be completed without opening the box cover, and parameter setting and debugging can be performed through the magnetic control knob, infrared remote control or handheld PDA.
2.6 Comprehensive protection and self-diagnosis function
a. Automatic phase sequence correction: Automatically adjust the phase sequence to ensure that the three-phase motor always has the correct power phase sequence. To prevent valve damage due to incorrect power wiring.
b. Phase loss protection: When the three-phase motor is running in phase loss, it will cause the motor to overheat and burn out. The controller monitors the three phases of the power supply. When one or more phases of power are lost, if the motor is in motion, it will stop immediately; if the motor is in static, it will be prevented from moving. At the same time, the power phase loss alarm will be displayed on the on-site LCD screen, and remote indication information can be obtained from the configured indication contacts.
c. Torque protection: The user sets different protection values for over-torque in the opening and closing directions according to the on-site conditions (the range can be set to 40-100% of the rated torque). When the actual torque borne by the electric actuator reaches or exceeds the set protection value, the motor will stop rotating immediately and an alarm will be sounded.
d. Motor stall protection: By real-time monitoring of the motor current, the motor can be stopped in real time when the motor is stalled. Protect the motor and actuator.
e. Valve stuck protection: When the actuator is in the closed limit and performs the valve opening action, the torque protection function will not be performed within a certain period of time. The valve in the stuck position will be opened with the maximum torque that the motor can provide. If the valve still cannot be opened after this period of time, the power supply to the motor will be cut off.
f. Motor overheat protection: If the coil is overheated, the two temperature regulators in the motor coil can directly detect the temperature of the motor coil. And disconnect the control circuit of the actuator.
g. Instantaneous reversal protection: When the actuator receives an instantaneous reversal command, the automatic delay circuit is used to prevent the impact load from causing unnecessary wear on the valve stem and gearbox. The circuit can also limit the surge current through the contactor.
h. Automatic self-detection and diagnosis function (ASTD): At any time, once the actuator is powered on, it will automatically detect the operating circuit. To ensure correct operation. For rare equipment failures, they can be diagnosed and automatically displayed on the screen in icon form. At the same time, the electric operation of the valve actuator will be prohibited, which is more convenient for on-site maintenance.
i. Data record protection: When the main power is off, the valve actuator stores various parameters in the EEPROM, which will not be lost for 20 years:
j. Surge protection (lightning arrester): You can select AC power surge protector and signal surge protector as needed to achieve lightning protection for the valve actuator.
k. Anti-condensation heating protection: You can select the opening or closing of the heating resistor according to the temperature in the electrical cavity to achieve anti-condensation heating protection for the valve actuator.
2.7 Local control
AUKEMA actuators provide two non-intrusive magnetic control knobs, one is the mode knob, which has three positions: "local", "remote" and "stop"; the other is the operation knob, which has two positions: "open" and "close". When the mode knob is in "local", turning the operation knob to the "open" or "close" position can control the actuator to move in the open or close direction. There are two optional local control modes: "jog" and "hold".
2.8 Remote control
After the DCS or PLC is connected to the field actuator through a hard-wired cable, the actuator can be controlled by switch quantity (manual)/current quantity (automatic).
The switch quantity control has three input terminals, namely, valve opening, valve closing, stop/hold, and can select the inching and holding modes; in addition, the auxiliary switch quantity control is emergency protection (ESD), valve opening interlock and valve closing interlock. The remote input is photoelectrically isolated and can resist 2.5KV surge.
The remote analog quantity control adopts linear optocoupler isolation, and the valve can be positioned according to the input analog quantity signal ratio.
The remote analog quantity valve position feedback can feedback the valve position to the DCS or PLC through a 4-20mA signal; at the same time, the remote analog quantity feedback of torque can be selected.
2.9 ESD control
In an emergency, the ESD signal can override any local or remote signal (according to parameter settings) to force the actuator to close or open the valve. The ESD action can be selected as "close the valve", "open the valve" or "hold position".
2.10 Interlock Control
For demanding applications, the actuator can be configured for conditional control.
In this mode, the operation depends on two independent signals. For example, if a remote close input signal and a close interlock input signal are provided at the same time, the actuator will close the valve. If only one signal is provided or one signal is lost, the actuator will hold or stop to prevent failure. For applications that require ESD, a dedicated ESD input is available. This input takes priority over local or remote control signals. Therefore, when this signal is applied, any current or applied control signal will be ignored.
2.11 Diverse fieldbus connections
AUKOMA can be seamlessly connected to fieldbus digital control systems. Open fieldbus protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, Hart, Foundation Fieldbus and DeviceNet are all available in the range of AUKEMA controls. AUKEMA also provides the ability to access industrial Ethernet for the first time, which can be connected to industrial Ethernet based on MODBUS TCP protocol, saving you PLC and directly connecting to SCADA system.
By inserting the appropriate digital communication circuit board module manufactured or supervised by AUKEMA into the electrical cavity of the actuator - usually during production, it is easy to operate and effectively reduces costs. The network test tool for the selected protocol can be used for module testing and setting.
a. Profibus
In the field of industrial automation and control, Profibus is the most important network protocol for high-speed data communication in the world.
Profibus DP interface: compatible with RS485 Profibus DP VO and V1, DP V2 bus protocol can be selected according to requirements; single bus or dual redundant bus can be selected; fully compliant with EC61158-3 standard; support speed up to 1.5Mbit/s.
b. Modbus
Modbus is the most common serial communication protocol in today's automation protocol application system.
AUKOMA's Modbus interface card allows actuators to be connected to a two-wire RS485 network. Thus, the Modbus RTU protocol can be used to communicate directly with the PLC or DCS. The network thus formed can control and monitor the connected actuators.
Modbus interface: RS485 two-wire RTU communication; international open system standard; single and dual redundant options; built-in repeater module under necessary application conditions; maximum speed up to 115KB.
At the same time, MODBUS TCP communication based on industrial Ethernet is provided. It can be directly connected to the SCADA system without connecting to the PLC or controller, that is, communication and control can be achieved.
c. Hart
HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer), an open communication protocol for addressable remote sensor high-speed channels, is a communication protocol for field intelligent instruments and control room equipment launched by the American ROSEMOUNT company in 1985.
Hart interface: complies with the HART7.0 protocol standard. Supports Bell202 standard FSK frequency shift keying signal, with carriers of 1200Hz and 2200Hz, and a communication rate of 1200b/S.
d. Foundation
Foundation Fieldbus is currently the most widely used process control system in the petrochemical field. The main feature is the ability to deploy control systems remotely with DCS.
Foundation Fieldbus interface: supports direct connection with the standard Foundation H1 bus system; fully complies with the IEC61158-2 standard; has Link Master and LAS functions; and has perfect HI field performance.
e. DeviceNet
DeviceNet is an open network standard suitable for communication networks that use the main functions of CAN bus in industrial environments.
DeviceNet interface: supports up to 63 devices per network; four-wire cable (two for signal and two for power); allows Trunk and Drop lines; EDS Electronic Device Description File.

4. AKML Linear Electric Actuator Models & Parameters
AKML linear stroke adjustable intelligent electric actuator is suitable for valves with linear thrust action. It consists of AKM intelligent multi-turn electric actuator and linear propulsion device. It accepts standard analog current control signal or switch control signal, and compares it with the position signal of the valve position sensor to position the output shaft of the electric actuator at the position corresponding to the input signal to complete the positioning control. *There are certification requirements for explosion-proof actuators in China. They must have explosion-proof certificates and production licenses issued by the National Explosion-proof Electrical Inspection Center. By 2020, the production license will be cancelled and converted to 3C certification. Coal mine products have mining product safety mark certificates (referred to as coal safety certification) and mining product explosion-proof certificates. This coal mine certification product is our company's advantage product. At present, in the electric actuator industry, only 6 actuator manufacturers in China have such mining valve actuator certificates. Domestic coal mines must have products with this mining safety certificate to be used on pipelines underground in coal mines. *AK smart series has GPRS mobile phone card wireless control function, which is a special optional function with name, password and verification code to ensure security. Q10: What material is this product made of?
*The product has two types of materials: iron shell and aluminum shell. The aluminum shell is small and the small size of the AK intelligent series is aluminum shell, and the conventional model and large size are cast iron. The large size has a large output torque, and the cast iron shell is used because cast iron has a strong pressure bearing capacity.

Q13: Does this product have a service life?
*Yes, the service life is related to the switching frequency of the valve. The valve is installed on the pipeline, and the electric actuator is a device that controls the valve switch. If the valve switching frequency is very high, the actuator will be used more frequently, and the internal gears and turbines, worms, nuts, etc. will have certain wear, but it is much longer than the service life of the valve. Some valves on pipelines need to be replaced after a few years. Generally, the actuator will be replaced at the same time as the valve. At present, our products are used on pipelines, and many actuators from more than 10 years ago are also in normal use.
Q14: Can parts be replaced if the product is damaged?
*It can be replaced. Generally, the limit switch that controls the valve opening and closing is a high-frequency component and may need to be replaced.
